Getting there from Barcelona
The R11 regional train leaves Barcelona-Sants and takes about 1 h 21 min; the high-speed AVE cuts that to around 40 minutes. According to the press, the last return train leaves at 21:23 at weekends (21:19 on weekdays), so if you stay for the night concerts, consider sleeping in Girona. Check Renfe times on the day.
Where to stay
The city fills up during the fair, especially over the weekend of 23–25 October. If you want to walk around the Old Town, book near the historic centre in advance. See places to stay in Girona (affiliate link).
Combine the fair with other visits
If you come on a weekday, take the chance to see the Jewish Quarter and the colourful houses on the Onyar. See tours and activities in Girona (affiliate link).
